Here is a quick one. The ECSN has had several good conversations debating the issues surrounding GLOBAL WARMING - Some say it exists, some say it is fear mongering. What do you think about GLOBAL WARMING ?
I believe the information I hear in the media
It is all made up
I believe some of the media out there
I am sceptical about what I hear in the media

WELCOME TO THE

ESSEX COUNTY

STEWARDSHIP

NETWORK

Carolinian Canada and the Essex County Stewardship Network announce the release the "Caring for Nature in Essex, Including Pelee Island and Windsor" Click on this link to see more information.

The Friends of Point Pelee and the Municipality of Leamington also released "Pelee Music", a DVD tribute to the Species at Risk in the Pelee area and Essex County.  Follow this link for more information.

Both of these projects were funded in part by the Ontario Species at Risk Stewardship Fund, the Canada Ontario Agreement and the Essex County Stewardship Network.

The ECSN is looking at corridor connections to maximize the resources available to connect Essex County's diverse habitats.  All kinds of different ideas: what would you like to see?

ECSN 2nd Annual Environmental Day

The Essex County Stewardship Network hosted our second annual open house to celebrate our eleventh years of working with the community.  40 landowners, their children, and local politicians attended the event on a beautiful sunny day.  The displays from ECSN, Duck’s Unlimited Canada Habitats for Healthy Waters program and several of our community partners provided information about the programs and projects we are working on.  Attendees were also able to walk around two of our wetland projects to see how we are working with the landowners of Essex County.

Special thanks to the staff of Sanson Estate Winery for all their help.

Most of all thanks to all the project owners who came out to talk with us about their stewardship experiences, without your interest and cooperation, our program would not be what it is today.
