A Guide To Stewardship Planning for Natural Areas
This Guide was produced by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources with the support of several partners, including Ontario Stewardship. It is a tool for landowners and property managers to utilize in creating stewardship or management plans to ensure rural properties remain healthy into the future. Application to Harvest Seed in a Provincial Park
The Provincial Park system protects some of the most significant natural areas remaining in Southern Ontario. These Parks have also been a souce of native seed for local restoration projects and conservation efforts. Ontario Parks recognizes these efforts, and has created an approval process that permits stewardship groups and individuals to collect seed within provincial parks. This is to ensure a continuing source of seed for the parks themselves, and to ensure that the seed is used in appropriate manners locally. Click here to download the application form.
