Private landowners own the majority of the land in Peterborough County and accordingly, play a pivotal role in sustaining the natural heritage of the region. The Peterborough County Stewardship Awards have been created to recognize the efforts of County residents for promoting and carrying out good land stewardship practices.

Interested in planting trees ?

Our Tree and Shrub Seedling Program is underway for 2010. 95 landowners within Peterborough County took part last year, planting over 32,000 trees and shrubs !

Special thanks to Meyers Transport Limited, Peterborough for providing cold storage transportation for our trees.

If you would like to take part in our program for 2010, contact us soon - several species are soldd out, but a few remain.
