DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS
Crowe River Fisheries Compensation and Shoreline Rehabilitation Project
BASC formed a new partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (OMTO) to create fish habitat and rehabilitate a section of privately-owned shoreline along the Crowe River as part of a bridge construction project. Students from the Northern Outdoor Studies Class and volunteers from the Paudash Lake Conservation Association were involved with the construction and monitoring phases of the project. The site is now used as a local demonstration area to educate the public on the value and importance of natural shorelines.
