Community Fisheries Assessment Projectil
This has become an annual project in which the Stewardship Council works with local volunteers and the Ministry of Natural Resources to conduct fisheries assessment on local lake trout lakes. The data collected is used to update fisheries data, population information and determine genetic strains for these lake trout. Please read through the Fisheries Assessment Reports to learn more about this exciting project (see links below). Funding for this project has been provided through the Ministry of Natural Resources CFWIP program as well as Ontario Stewardship Opportunity Fund. Thanks to these funding opportunities we will be doing more work on local lake trout lakes in the summer of 2009!
